SL4 Deuterium Combination

SL4-DT Deuterium and Tungsten Light is a miniature Deuterium and Tungsten halogen light source that covers the 200-2300nm range in a single light source for spectroscopy measurements. Its high output power enables use for reflectance measurements, where other low power light sources like SL5-DT are too weak.

The miniature size of 72 x 40 x 90mm makes it a perfect match for StellarNet miniature spectrometers: D-alpha line (654nm) eliminated in deuterium source. The deuterium and halogen lamps can be individually turned on/off and have a front and panel shutter control. The combination of both lamps into one small enclosure reduces complexity and can be connected to the BP2 battery pack for field applications.

NOTE: This product is only recommended for applications that require high output power (e.g. reflectance), portability, and small size.

The F400-YBNIRUV-SR is an armoured 400µm fibre optic Y cable bundle that is 0.5 metre, solarisation resistant, and is specially designed to connect the SL1 and SL3 lamps.

D-alpha line (654nm) eliminated in deuterium source by adding a U330 filter to the nosecone of the SL3 light source.

NOTE: This product is recommended for applications that require high output power (e.g. reflectance) and do not require demanding portability or size characteristics. Bulb life and robust design are the main advantages over SL4.

Fibre Optic Cables

Single strand, multimode fibre optic cables are available with SMA 905 connectors, 6.35mm (¼") diameter. steel mono-coil armour with black PVC jacket. Sizes include 400, 600, or 1000µm core diameters. Standard lengths are 1 and 2 metres.

Custom lengths are available with a minimum price of a 1 metre fibre (extra delivery time also).

F400-UVVis-SR, F600-UVVis-SR, and F1000-UVVis-SR-1 Solarisation resistant fibres available for deep UV applications below 400nm available in all diameters.

F400-VISNIR, F600-VISNIR, and F1000-VISNIR-1 are low OH fibres (400-2200 nm) are needed for VIS-NIR applications. They offer lowest possible internal light attenuation. Intended for applications with long fibre lengths, available in all diameters.

Specialty fibres available for various applications: Y-cables to couple two spectrometer systems, Y-bundled cables to couple two light sources, 1 to 3 splitter cables, and all types of custom fibres to meet your application.
